discover a new career

group coaching programme

Explore a different way to changing career with the support and camaraderie of a group as you journey through this 6 month adventure.

Let's start with the details you really want:

What you need to know

  • A 6 month adventure guiding you through a practical approach to discovering new career possibilities suited to you.
  • Weekly 75 mins group calls.
  • Support and community throughout the 6 months via a private Facebook group.
  • Access to discounted one-to-one coaching sessions with me throughout the 6 months.
  • Your investment of £200 per month.

It’s hard to take action when you feel trapped, alone and you don’t know how to move forward.

What is out there beyond the job types you already know?

Is anyone else feeling like this?

You seem surrounded by people who appear to be doing just fine in their careers, who’ve made the right choices, who can play the game…

But you’re feeling weary with it all.

You look over at the dusty pile of credentials and skills you don’t put to use anymore, some of which you rather enjoyed and sigh…

Or maybe you had to take a certain career path and you are now realising that you really, really don’t enjoy it – it’s just not you.

It’s probably too late to do anything about it now, and even if you could, how on earth do you go about it?

And is it worth all the hassle when you’re not sure you’re equipped to do anything else?

And what about the financial impact?

And so the questions pile up in the face of the internal gymnastics your brain undertakes every time you think about the chances of having a different career.

It would be easier to double down on getting that promotion, or looking for a similar role in another organisation – maybe that’s the type of change to be putting your energy into.

But what if it turns out to be the same?

Your ruminations are rudely interrupted by the alarm and another day of survival begins…

Right, that’s enough of that!

Let me (rather unsubtly, it has to be said…) stage an intervention.

You need a way out of this hamster wheel of wondering, ruminating and questioning, and pronto.

Overwhelm can stand down.

Uncertainty can take a back seat.

Lack of direction can go on a long hike somewhere else.

Unfulfillment can finally retire.

There is a way to find out whether you've got what it takes to pursue something new in your career (spoiler alert...you have) and an approach that shows you how.

It’s not for the faint of heart; it takes time and like all good adventures discovering a new career is both exhilarating and terrifying in equal measure.

But you needn’t go it alone.

Dust off your curiosity, put on your lucky pants and join a group of fellow career adventurers to journey into pastures new.

'It's never too late to be what you might have been.'

It’s time for a career adventure.

The Discover A New Career group coaching programme is designed to take you through the 3 phases of changing career in a low-risk, slow and steady manner – the same approach and exercises I use to coach my one-to-one clients.

It will give you the opportunity to connect with others as you go on this journey together – expect a supportive group of cheerleaders!

It will equip you with the insights, practical tools and rooted-in-action methods to safely explore, identify and pursue one or more new career possibilities.

Phase 1: discover your hidden treasure

Weeks 1 – 11

You will delve deep into the important foundational work of uncovering who you are and what’s important to you in a career (and life) today including:

  • what motivates you, what you are good at and what you enjoy.
  • discovering what makes you tick and what you have to offer the world.
  • how you would like your new career to play out day-to-day (the what comes later!).

Phase 2: uncover and explore the possibilities

Weeks 12 – 17

You will have fun generating and drawing out career possibilities you didn’t know existed for you by:

  • following your curiosity and throwing off limitations to dream big and expand what could be possible for you.
  • using a tried and tested highly creative approach to uncover your career themes.
  • actively exploring how the career possibilities that interest you most could be brought to life without necessarily having to follow a traditional route.

Phase 3: test, experiment and plan

Weeks 18 – 23

It’s here that you will take the career possibilities you deem most viable and begin shaping them in reality by:

  • speedily testing them out – think low-key and low-risk experiments that don’t take much time or money, plus how to use your network.
  • ensuring the aspects of what’s important to you in a career are present.
  • understanding your current situation and the steps needed to pursue and resource your career change beyond the Discover A New Career programme.

Programme structure

  • Weekly 75 mins calls – this is where we will work through the 3 phases of changing career together, including: creative exercises to get you thinking differently about what you are capable of, to shake up your approach to uncovering new career possibilities and importantly, get you taking actioncollaborating in small groups to give you time to reflect, dig under the surface to ensure you are finding what you REALLY want in your new career and the opportunity for new perspectives; time to ask questions and receive on-the-spot coaching from me.
  • Private Facebook group where you can share, support and ask questions.  I will be on hand frequently each week to help you keep moving on this journey!
  • Recordings of all the calls, in case you cannot attend.
  • Discounted rate on single one-to-one coaching sessions with me during the 6 month period.
  • Discounted spots on any workshops I facilitate during the 6 month period.
  • Lifetime access to all the recordings and materials used throughout the programme

'Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sail. Explore. Dream. Discover.'

Mark Twain

The group coaching programme is a good fit for you if:

  • you feel stuck in a career, but don’t know what else you could do with the skills and experience you have.
  • you are looking for a framework and direction to bring much needed clarity and practical steps to take.
  • you enjoy collaborating with others and you do well with the accountability of meeting each week as a group to ‘do the work’.
  • you don’t have much time for homework – this programme is designed with you in mind.  There will be some actions that can only be taken outside of the weekly calls (mainly during phase 3) but I’ve kept these to the absolute minimum.  Everything else is done within the weekly calls.
  • you are an action-taker and are ready to try out new ways of approaching how you identify and pursue new career possibilities.
  • you are just about ready to throw off what you think you should be doing in your career and are willing to follow your curiosity, expand your understanding of yourself and have some fun!
  • you understand that changing career takes time, which is one of the main reasons this programme is for 6 months, and that it requires tenacity and application to see results. You will very likely need to keep applying the methods you learn after the programme ends to bring your new career fully into reality.

This isn’t for you if:

  • you get on better with one-to-one in-depth support.
  • you want to go at your own pace.
  • you are in need of lots of mindset support.  Throughout this programme I will support you to move past obstacles and take action via the Facebook group, but this is more like ‘laser coaching’ which does not offer the time and space needed to delve deep.  If this is what you are looking for, consider working with me one-to-one
  • you don’t have the time to join the majority of the calls or undertake some work (1-2 hours per week) outside of the calls in phase 3 of the programme.  Calls will be recorded so you can always catch up but if you’re unable to keep up with the programme it will limit what you can achieve in your career change.

The investment

  • The cost for participation is £200 per month, over 6 months.
  • By joining the Discover A New Career group coaching programme you are committing to stay in the programme for the full 6 months.

Victoria is amazing. Her programme helps you step outside your comfort zone and she brings all her glorious energy and support to get you moving in your career change. A particularly powerful part of the process has been the mini side projects; they bring new energy and ways of seeing what’s possible. I would even go as far as saying they have changed my approach to life. It’s exciting to explore new avenues in my career and life.

Before joining the programme I knew how I would like my perfect career to look in terms of framework - freelance, portfolio, doing lots of things.  But, I had no idea what I could do other than helping people in some way.  The journey we went on helped me slowly realise how this theme turns up in lots of areas and I was able to bring together my factual and dreamy side which is where the new opportunities for a different career were hiding.
